Electrode Rotators
Our most popular electrode rotator model is ideal for the research laboratory. The MSR rotator features the ability to modulate the rotation rate and may be used with rotated disk (RDE), rotated ring-disk (RRDE), and rotated cylinder (RCE) electrodes. A separate arbor is required for this rotator. There are a wide range of arbor choices which are specific for a particular electrode type.
- 50 - 10,000 RPM.
- Rotation rate may be controlled externally.
- A wide range of standard rotating electrodes available (RDE, RCE and RRDE).
- The entire apparatus is easily taken apart and reassembled.
- Electrode connections are made to the rotating shaft using silver-carbon brushes so there are no problems handling traditional mercury contacts.
The Compact Pine Rotator (CPR) features an integrated motor controller and built-in rotating shaft. This model may be used with rotated disk (RDE) and rotated cylinder (RCE) electrodes. This rotator has a fixed arbor and accepts both disk and cylinder electrodes.
- The CPR integrates the motor controller unit, motor unit, and shaft into a single-piece rotator body.
- Rotator features a solid-state controlled servo-system capable of rotating an electrode at rates between 100 and 8,000 RPM.
- A single banana jack connector is used to make electrical connection to the electrode brush holder.
- A wide range of RCE and RDE tips available for use with this rotator.
Rotator Electrodes (RDE, RCE and RRDE)
Ideal for corrosion studies, the QC3 Series tip accepts cylinder-shaped inserts (sold separately) fabricated from just about any metal of interest. Standard cylinder inserts offered include several varieties of steel; however cylinders may be made from other materials upon request.
The E4 Series design offers a unique interchangeable disk option that permits the same RDE tip to be used repeatedly with different disk samples. Standard metal disk inserts (sold separately) offered include gold, platinum, and glassy carbon; however disks may be made from other materials upon request.
These single-piece rotated disk electrodes are ideal for applications requiring a high rotation rate. The shaft and disk electrode are permanently attached, producing a precision balanced RDE useful at rotation rates as high as 7,000 RPM. The disk electrode shroud is fabricated from chemically resistant Teflon.
Our HotSpot RDE tips feature a ceramic sheath, allowing the tip to be used at elevated temperatures.
Our ThinGap RRDEs feature a submillimeter gap between the disk and the ring. Choose between two ring sizes depending upon your application: -
E7R9 Series for Fuel Cell Electrocatalyst studies or E7R8 Series for Rapid Electrode Kinetics.
If you prefer an RRDE tip that allows you to remove the disk material, then we have the E6 Series ChangeDisk RRDE tips.
Electrochemical Cells
We have a range of electrochemical cells for use with rotated and stationary electrodes. To compliment the cell we can provide a variety of reference electrodes, counter electrodes and working electrodes.
