UiECorr™ Software

The UiECorr™ software package interfaces with our range of potentiostats and provides a suite of sweep, step and pulse experiments which can be used by the researcher to investigate the oxidation and reduction profiles of electrochemically active materials for a wide range of applications. These include: -

  • Corrosion inhibitors
  • Biomedical materials
  • Alloys
  • Coatings
  • Material screening and evaluation
  • Teaching

The UiECorr™ software provides a suite of corrosion techniques including: -

Fast RDE's
  • ECorr vs Time
  • Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR)
  • Tafel
  • Potentiodynamic polarization
  • Potentiostatic polarization
  • Galvanoststic polarization
  • Zero Resistance Ammetry (ZRA)
  • User definable experiments via macro programming

EXPERIMENT TEMPLATES

An experiment is constructed from a standard experiment template.  The experimental parameters can be easily edited individually and the experiment saved for recall at a later date.

DATA TEMPLATES

A series of standard graphics templates are included with the package but the user can construct their own standard graph which can include a mixture of experimental parameter, data tables and plot formats.

AUTOSEQUENCING

Applications which require complex waveforms or automatic sequencing of events are easily handled with the latest version of UiECorr™.

Where a complex experimental protocol is required, for example with a mixture of experimental techniques, then the unique AUTOSEQUENCE template allows the user to construct and execute the procedure automatically. This procedure which can involve multiple experiments or logic steps (time delays or loops) is built with the click of the mouse.  The finished sequence can be edited or changed easily without the need to reformat the whole procedure.  The sequence can be saved for recall at a later time.

This graphic shows a sequence of experiments starting with Ecorr vs Time followed by a Linear Polarisation Resistance experiment (LPR) and followed by a Tafel and Potentiodynamic Polarisation experiment.

The sequence executes and stores the data to disk automatically.  With the addition of the LOOP routine the whole sequence can be repeated a number of times without the need for a user intervention.

CUSTOM TECHNIQUES

The Windows™ software applications provide a facility to implement custom techniques by programming macro experiments. This facility gives direct control of the advanced PG580 waveform generator and data acquisition features and allows the custom experiment to be displayed on a user defined window template.

STAND ALONE PROGRAMMING

The Windows™ software applications provide a facility to implement standalone programming of the PG581. In this mode the PG581 stores a user defined program which controls the instrument actions and display. The PG581 will execute this user program and display the plot on its graphics screen.
