UiEChem™ Software
The UiEChem™ software package interfaces with our range of potentiostats which include the PG581, BiStat 3200, PG580RM, 3100 and 3300 and provides a suite of sweep, step, pulse and impedance experiments which can be used by the researcher to investigate the oxidation and reduction profiles of electrochemically active materials for a wide range of applications. These include: -
Sensors- Biomedical
- Material screening and evaluation
- Electrode reactions and kinetics
- Teaching
The UiEChem™ package includes the common electrochemical techniques: -
- Cyclic and Linear Voltammetry
- Chronoamperometry
- Chronopotentiometry
- Normal and Differential pulse voltammetry
- Square Wave Voltametry
- User definable experiments via macro programming
Experiment Templates
A chronoamperometry experiment with multiple pulses can easily be constructed from an experiment template. The steps can be edited or removed with the need to reformat the whole sequence. New pulses can be inserted in the sequence. During each step the user can elect to collect or not to collect data. Multiple cycles are also available.
Electrochemical Impedance Techniques
UiEChem™ also provides support for the Model 3300 Electrochemical Workstation. In addition to the dc techniques UiEChem™ can perform all the standard EIS experiments when connected to the Model 3300.
Data Templates
A series of standard graphics templates are included with the package. The different plot formats are easily accessible from 'icons' on the graphics display page. The user can also construct their own standard graph which can include a mixture of experimental parameters, data tables and plot formats.
Data Analysis
The latest version features a Peak Analysis routine is easy to use but utilises sophisticated routines and algorithms to provide a comprehensive data analysis package. The routines are accessible from the main software package and do not require the data to be exported.
The software allows the user to select a peak to analyse and then provides tools to easily manipulate the baseline and the data included in the analysis.
The peak analysis facility is available in all the standard electrochemistry experiments.
Autosequencing
Applications which require complex waveforms or automatic sequencing of events are easily handled with the latest version of UiEChem™. Where a complex experimental protocol is required, for example with a mixture of fast and slow sample rates or multiple repeats or very long time sequences, then the unique AUTOSEQUENCE template allows the user to construct and execute the procedure automatically.
Custom Techniques
The Windows™ software applications provide a facility to implement custom techniques by programming macro experiments. This facility gives direct control of the advanced PG580 waveform generator and data acquisition features and allows the custom experiment to be displayed on a user defined window template.
Stand Alone Programming
The Windows™ software applications provide a facility to implement standalone programming of the PG581. In this mode the PG581 stores a user defined program which controls the instrument actions and display. The PG581 will execute this user program and display the plot on its graphics screen.
