UiECorr™ Software

The UiECorr™ software package interfaces with our range of potentiostats which include the PG581, BiStat 3200, PG580RM, 3100 and 3300 and provides a suite of provides a suite of sweep, step, pulse and impedance experiments which can be used by the researcher to investigate the oxidation and reduction profiles of electrochemically active materials for a wide range of applications. The UiECorr™ software provides a suite of corrosion techniques including: -

An experiment is constructed from a standard experiment template.  The experimental parameters can be easily edited individually and the experiment saved for recall at a later date.

Corrosion rate calculations and Tafel constants

The latest version of UiECorr™can calculate the Tafel constants and the corrosion rate of the sample.  Calculation of the Tafel Constant is automatic and the fit can be manually adjusted to suit the user’s preferences.  The fitting routines can be applied individually to results from multi-channel instruments.  Calculation of the corrosion rate is automatic when the electrode area, density and equivalent weight are entered.  The corrosion rate can also be calculated from an LPR experiment.

Electrochemical Impedance Techniques

UiECorr™ also provides support for the Model 3300 Electrochemical Impedance Analyser.  In addition to the dc techniques UiECorr™ can perform all the standard EIS experiments when connected to the Model 3300.

Data Templates

A series of standard graphics templates are included with the package.  The different plot formats are easily accessible from 'icons' on the graphics display page.  The user can also construct their own standard graph which can include a mixture of experimental parameters, data tables and plot formats.

Autosequencing

Applications which require complex waveforms or automatic sequencing of events are easily handled with the latest version of UiECorr™.  Where a complex experimental protocol is required, for example with a mixture of experimental techniques, then the unique AUTOSEQUENCE template allows the user to construct and execute the procedure automatically.
